A Guide to Woodinville Wineries, Microbreweries, Distilleries, and Cideries

September 9th, 2020 by

For those interested in experience local wine, beer, and more, Bellevue Nissan is happy to share this information about our neighbors in the Woodinville Wine Country! Support local and take a short drive to Woodinville to check out these winemakers, brewers, and distillers who pour for a majority of Washington State! We hope you’ll join us to sip these local flavors soon. Cheers!

Why Woodinville?

Home to the largest concentration of wine tasting rooms in the United States, the area around Bellevue, including the small community of Woodinville, is yours to discover. From the historic and beautiful grounds of Chateau Ste. Michelle to the quaint boutique wineries where you are likely to have the winemaker themselves pour you a glass of his or her finest blend, a wonderful variety of wine tasting experiences await you.

Nestled in the beautiful Sammamish River Valley, Woodinville Wine Country is home to over 100 wineries and tasting rooms representing every appellation in Washington.

This picturesque setting is where the fruit of Eastern Washington meets the vintners, chefs, and flavors of the Pacific Northwest. It’s a delicious crossroads of winemaking, microbrewing, fine dining, and the people who pour their heart and soul into them.

From the historic and beautiful grounds of Chateau Ste. Michelle to the quaint boutique wineries where you are likely to have the winemaker themselves pour you a glass of his or her finest blend, a wonderful variety of wine tasting experiences awaits you.

Nearly all of the Woodinville wineries grow their grapes in the warm, arid climate of Eastern Washington’s Columbia Valley where vineyards boast sandy, gravelly soils providing an ideal medium to plant vines. Protected from Seattle’s marine climate by the Cascade Mountains, Columbia Valley vineyard temperatures consistently hover in the mid-’80s during the summer. Come fall, warm days and cool nights protect the grapes natural acidity and ripen the fruit to perfection.

Woodinville Wine Country by the Numbers:

It’s official: Washington is now the second largest wine producer in the country, and Woodinville is where it pours. With over 800 winemakers in the state, over 100 wineries in Woodinville, and more 90+ rated vintages than any wine region in the world, this is where palates of every persuasion come to play.

Wineries & Tasting Rooms
One of Woodinville’s most appealing qualities is that it’s not just wine country. The growing community of microbreweries, distilleries and cideries make us an equal opportunity pourer. Whatever you care to quaff, you’ll find people here creating their own unique brand of it.

“Woodinville in a Day” with Sennen David

On 17 Jun 2019

By Woodinville Wine Country

With so many options for sipping, eating and staying active, it can be hard to know where to start in Woodinville Wine Country. Sennen David is the VP of Marketing & Culture and Beverage Director for Ethan Stowell Restaurants, a popular restaurant group in Seattle. Although the many hats he wears at ESR keep him busy, he took some time to share with us how he would spend a day in Woodinville Wine Country. Check out his full-day itinerary for a round-up of some of his favorites.

Questions:

  • Name: Sennen David
